At Hala, main responsibility of Fraud Prevention & Detection Senior officer is to execute frontline fraud prevention checks, lead detection monitoring activities, and conduct fraud investigations and root cause analyses. Serve as subject matter expert for detection and response operations within the unit.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct 24/7 monitoring of fraud alerts; triage and escalate high-severity cases immediately (CFFR 3.3.1)
  • Perform transaction review, validation, and exception analysis to identify and mitigate fraud risk in real time
  • Conduct fraud investigations: evidence gathering, case documentation, and investigation report preparation (CFFR 3.4.2–3.4.3)
  • Conduct root cause analysis for investigated cases and contribute to lessons-learned documentation (CFFR 3.4.4–3.4.5)
  • Execute employee fraud screening and third-party vetting checks during onboarding (CFFR 3.2.2, 3.2.4)
  • Monitor high-risk employee activities and flag anomalies for management review (CFFR 3.3.2)
  • Develop and deliver fraud awareness training modules for internal staff (CFFR 3.2.5)
  • Prepare external customer communication materials for fraud awareness campaigns (CFFR 3.2.6, 3.2.12)
  • Review fraud control adequacy for new products and services prior to launch
  • Maintain and escalate whistleblowing reports; ensure proper documentation and routing (CFFR 3.3.3)
  • Update the fraud case management system; maintain evidence chain of custody (CFFR 3.4.3)
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fraud detection reports identifying trends and emerging typologies
  • Implement corrective actions including customer notification, account remediation, and law enforcement coordination (CFFR 3.4.6)
  • Proactively scrutinize flagged transactions for fraud indicators and computer-based attack patterns

 

Education

Bachelor Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent fields of studies

The education levels can be replaced by years of experience

Experience

Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in a similar role

Skills

  

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools

Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic

knowledge of Anti fraud regulations
